vFlyteAir Grumman Traveler AA5
Compatibility: X-Plane 11
Modelled from a friend’s real-world AA5B, the Traveler AA5 is the same airframe as its predecessor, the Tiger. The Traveler has a smaller 150HP engine, and is suited for those who want to practice pilotage and radio navigation – there’s no GPS in the Traveler! The Traveler is capable of performing ILS approaches, and does have an autopilot.
STEC System 30 autopilot integrated into the turn/bank indicator
TerraNAV OBS
Dual COM/NAV radios
ADF receiver
DME
PBR (Physically Based Rendering) effects for X-Plane 11 metal and glass reflections and specularity
Fully animated 3D model with 3D propeller disc effect
Custom engine start logic – if the engine is cold, it requires longer starter crank time
On-screen warnings and notifications (can be turned off)
Custom HDR lighting, interior and exterior
On-screen menu system
Super Hi-Res textures and highly detailed modelling
Most fuses and circuit breakers are functional
Simulated 'headphones' can be plugged in – engine sounds and external sounds will be muted
8 liveries included
System Requirements:
vFlyteAir aircraft are complex, highly detailed models with ultra hi-res textures. We therefore recommend that this aircraft is installed on a modern, capable gaming-type computer with a dedicated graphics processor.
X-Plane 11
CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K at 3.5GHz or faster
Memory: 16-24GB RAM or more
Graphics card: DirectX 12-capable graphics card from nVidia, AMD or Intel with at least 4GB VRAM (GeForce GTX 1070 or better or similar from AMD)
Although X-Plane.com lists several old video cards as X-Plane 11 compatible (such as GeForce 420, AMD HD5000 or Intel HD 2000), we do not recommend running X-Plane with any of these old cards. As a minimum, you should have a GTX960 or similar.
Microsoft C++ Redistributables
If you're using Windows, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is required for proper operation of the on-screen menu system, which uses the SASL plugin. Click
here
to download and install the packages.
We suggest installing at least the 2008, 2010 and 2012 versions. However, if you plan to install other complex aircraft for X-Plane, you may want to install all the available versions, because different aircraft and different developers require different versions of the C++ libraries.
