Maastricht Aachen Airport (also known as Vliegveld Zuid-Limburg/Beek, IATA code: MST, ICAO code: EHBK) is an international commercial airport in the municipality of Beek, about 10 kilometres north-east of Maastricht (NL) and 30 kilometres north-west of Aachen (GER). It is primarily important for air freight traffic, but is also used by low-cost and charter airlines.
Next to the airport is the Upper Area Control Centre Maastricht of Eurocontrol, which monitors the upper airspace above 24,500 ft (approx. 7,500 m) in north-west Germany, the Benelux countries and northern France. The control centre was also recreated in great detail for the scenery.
Furthermore, many custom 3D objects were implemented for the ground vehicles, static aircraft, various buildings, signs and much more, including custom lighting models.
