Airports and airfields all over the world have lives of their own and eventually they all have a good chance of becoming defunct. This series will cover many countries where this has happened and today there are many disused airports and airfields which are just rotting away in the wind, rain, sun and snow.

Old pilots remember them well and sometimes they get the chance to return again to one of these 'old timers'. This first episode will take you to some of these lonely but wonderful places in Canada, where aircraft engines once roared but today are quiet and lonely...
