This EFB add-on is compatible with all of Majestic Software's 64-bit editions (Prepar3D v4.x or later) of the MJC8 Q400:
The Electronic Flight Book (EFB) is an add-on to the MJC8 Q400 aircraft that allows a pilot to calculate the performance data based on the actual or planned conditions. The EFB can run on the local network on any web browser, or inside the Virtual Cockpit as a 2D window.
Data sources, syncronisation and SimBrief flight plans
The EFB collects as much data as possible for the performance calculations, only querying the pilot for the data that is not currently available.
The data for the performance calculations comes from the following sources:
-
Current conditions at the aircraft location, such as QNH, winds, temperature, available fuel and weights
-
FMS flight plan - for example the departure/arrival runway, FPL winds
-
SimBrief operational flight plan (OFP)
The aircraft EFIS speed bugs can be synchronised with the take-off and landing speeds calculated by the EFB.
Shared cockpit support
If the Shared Cockpit is active and the OFP import is done by the Master party, the fuel page on the Slave instance will also update with the OFP data.
The fuel and weight data from OFP is also propagated to the aircraft state and to the Shared cockpit slave party.
Units support: The units presented on the EFB page are synchronised with the metric/imperial units setting in the Control Panel of the Q400 add-on.
