France VFR - Obstacles & VFR landmarks is an add-on for Prepar3D covering the entire French territory and designed to add more than 500,000 landmarks to the scenery, including virtually all of the obstacles to navigation identified by the SIA (Service for Aeronautical Information), that have been qualified and geo-referenced.
The aim of this product is to provide a true benchmark of obstacles and landmarks for VFR simulated navigation. We have set up a monitoring and reporting system that allows us to regularly specify, modify existing data and add new objects or object classes.

Locations are geo-referenced to ensure compatibility with any other geo-referenced product.
Objects design-optimised to add thousands without significant loss of frame rate.
This add-on is compatible with all types of add-ons, such as landclass or photo sceneries. It must be set in the scenery library over 'photo' and 'landclass' sceneries and below the local sceneries such as airports.
As VFR France - Obstacles & VFR Landmarks is built upon geo-referenced data, we recommend the combined use of a high resolution mesh such as France VFR NEXTMesh France.
INSTALLATION
Every France VFR product provides an automated installation program consisting of one or more executable files, which you should unzip and/or copy to your desktop first.
Run the first installation program provided (usually holding number 1) and follow program instructions. When completed, run the following programs to complete the installation and run Prepar3D. You can create or select a flight. Installer supports automatic declaration in scenery library. The installation process completes after Prepar3D is launched.
UNINSTALLING
To uninstall your France VFR product, follow these steps:

Click the START button in the Windows taskbar.

Click on 'Programs' then 'France VFR' and then locate the menu option for your product.

Click the uninstall option.
SETTINGS
'Scenery complexity' is the only effective slider. Ensure it is set at least to 'Normal'.
Advanced users may want to control more precisely the product. We gave explicit names to the obj placement files to allow easy activation/deactivation depending on your configuration.
LIMITATIONS
Given the quantity of items involved, we designed libraries reflecting the variety of shapes but it is normal that an object locally doesn’t look like the real one.
WARNING
The databases from which we extracted our data for this product remain property of their owners. It is forbidden to rebuild these bases decompiling files. Generally speaking, any "reverse engineering" is prohibited. Certain amount of false items have been added in this product in order to protect our original datas. They are legally declared.

If your hardware does not comply, or in case you experience graphical artifacts, please lower scenic 3D and autogen settings with sliders.
