Just Flight is proud to present the LJ45 Professional – a long awaited incarnation of a classic Microsoft Flight Simulator aircraft is now in development from the Just Flight in-house team.

Previously seen as a default aircraft in the Microsoft Flight Simulator series from FS98 through to FSX, the LJ45 combines a modern, glass cockpit flight deck with high performance flight characteristics, making it a firm favourite within the flight simulation community.

Using the latest modelling techniques, paired with the high fidelity systems of our Professional range, the Just Flight LJ45 Professional will take this well-loved private jet to a level not yet seen in any flight simulator.

LJ45 Professional will include both the LJ45 and LJ45XR variants, with a variety of configuration options, a detailed passenger cabin with galley and toilet, and even a VIP carpet for private jet operations!

Model

  • Accurately modelled LJ45 and LJ45XR variants, built using extensive research materials and hands-on experience with the real aircraft
  • 8K textures are used to produce the highest possible texture clarity, with decals used for high-resolution text
  • Realistic animations including passenger and baggage doors, control surfaces and mechanisms
  • Dynamic wing, T-tail and engine flex animations
  • Full support for MSFS visual icing effects and ground services support
  • Detailed passenger cabin, with toilet and galley
  • Ground equipment, including GPU, cones, chocks, flags, engine intake covers and VIP carpet

Cockpit

  • Captain and Co-pilot positions modelled with all switches, knobs and levers animated and functional
  • A truly 3D cockpit environment right down to accurately modelled circuit breakers and screw heads - every instrument is constructed fully in 3D with smooth animations
  • Authentic gauges and navigational equipment, including Primus 1000 EFIS avionics system and UNS FMS
  • Realistic autoflight system including lateral and vertical navigation modes
  • Cockpit textures feature wear and tear based on reference photos taken in the real aircraft to produce an authentic environment
  • Aircraft state system which will automatically save the aircraft state whenever a flight is saved and reload it whenever that flight is loaded
  • Aircraft configuration system which allows you to choose between 'Cold & Dark', ‘Turnaround’ or 'Ready for Take-off'
  • Tablet EFB for controlling various aircraft states, options and payloads, with Navigraph and SimBrief integration and a moving map
  • Developed using the latest MSFS standards, including intuitive and easy-to-use controls for rotary knobs, multi-position switches and levers
  • Fully compatible with MSFS VR mode
  • Custom-coded systems, including hydraulic, electrical, fuel and pressurization

The LJ45 will be supplied with a range of liveries from around the world, reflecting its wide and varied corporate service.

Development Updates

Following it’s big reveal at the end of our 2024 development round-up, we’re excited to launch the In Development page for the LJ45 Professional. A brand new product being developed by our in-house team, the LJ45 will be coming to MSFS 2020/2024 after our F70/100 and A300B4.

Alongside the product description, outlining some of the key features, we have included screenshots showing some of the recent progress on the cockpit and exterior artwork, with the latter already in the simulator. As usual, we will bring you regular updates on every area of the project.

LJ45 Professional is our first business jet product, continuing our tradition of developing a wide range of different and iconic types, and we’re looking forward to bringing our passion and attention to detail to the business jet genre. In addition to wanting to bring back a longstanding default aircraft missing since MSFS 2020, we settled on the LJ45 due to its versatility, long service all around the world, and perfect balance between the old and new.
