We've just added some new screenshots to the In Development page of the forthcoming FSX/P3D
F-4B/N Phantom II from Simworks Studios, and here's the developer, Alex, with more information and some background on the project...
"As Phantom Phanatics, we were craving for an FSX native Phantom for a long time – until we decided to take matters to our own hands.
We chose the F-4B models because, unlike the F-4E, the B/N was not well represented in Flight Simulator during the past few years. Furthermore, the F-4B was the first production Phantom and the basis from which all the other variants were derived. This enabled us to create a wide number of versions spanning the life of the plane, from its first active service flight until its final upgrade and retirement as the F-4N.
To develop the F-4B/N to the level we wanted we had to utilize everything we could find on the web: photos, manuals, NASA studies, videos and even studies of other planes containing F-4 data. The team, as well as friends, paid visits to active and museum F-4s to photograph and gain access to unique material. Last but not least, real Phantom pilots joined to test our aircraft and help us do it right!
Thus we created what we believe to be:

The most accurate visual model of the F-4 Phantom on the market
- Exterior model: created from thousands of photos, we managed to capture every detail on the real Phantom. You will be able to see almost every variant of the F-4B/N to grace the skies!
- Interior model: two highly detailed cockpit versions, one with ECM and one without.

A rich sound environment, from engine sounds to the rain hitting the canopy when on the ground. We don’t want to do just the aircraft’s sounds - we want you to feel there!

A detailed rendition of USS Coral Sea: the 1965 version of the carrier is provided, with many unique features such as customizable parked aircraft and animated crew
