Air Hauler 2 Early Access - latest update from the developer...

...and a PC Pilot preview!
2 September 2016

Many thanks to all of you who have bought the Early Access edition of Air Hauler 2 and have been doing a wonderful job of providing feedback and suggesting new features and improvements on the dedicated forums.

Our latest Newsletter included a development update from the Air Hauler 2 developer, Duncan 'Slopey' Murray - here it is for anyone who didn't get the Newsletter:

"I've recently added the first mission type to the game - commodity supply missions. Missions are offered out by clients at various airports as you and your pilots travel around inside the Air Hauler 2 world. You can build up your reputation with these individuals, which will lead to more lucrative missions as they begin to trust you.

"In the first mission type - Commodity Supply - your clients are looking for hard-to-find commodities which they can't get locally or which need to be made in a factory, and they're willing to pay over the odds to get the quantity they require. If you can fulfil their needs, you'll get that much sought-after good reputation and your standing with that client will increase accordingly. You don't need to 'accept' them, just sell them goods, so there's no downside. You can't fail these types of missions, so make sure you look out for them at airports.

"Over the next few weeks I'll be adding many more mission types which include smuggling, charter and air taxi work, photo-reconnaissance and several more! I'll keep you updated via these Newsletters as they are introduced.

"After missions, I'll be introducing the first tranche of the Virtual Airline functionality which will allow Air Haulers to team up and work as a Virtual Company while still maintaining their own individual operations. Work on the VA functionality is already under way, and I'm excited about getting it out to everyone and starting to make Air Hauler 2 a truly global experience!"

The latest issue of PC Pilot magazine includes a preview of Air Hauler 2, along with a Q&A session with the developer. After trying out the Early Access edition the writer concludes, "Obviously this is a product with great depth and even greater promise. I found it most enjoyable and quite challenging at times. I think great games are defined by their longevity and Air Hauler has already proved that it has that in its first release, Version 2 offers so much more, so once it's finished and with the help of the Early Access users to iron out any major bugs, I'm sure it will continue to attract new fans and give its existing ones even more enjoyment."
